War of the Dark Night

The 'War of the Dark Night' as it is called in Skander was a war between Skander and its neighbours, when Moneda and [some smaller countries] allied themselves against Skander.

The war earned its name mostly due to the year 497, when Queen Hyndla and her daughter, Queen Dianna II., both fell in battle within the same year, leaving Diannas 17-year-old daughter Vánagandr on the throne. But where many already saw this war lost and Skander torn apart, Vánagandr rose above those doubts. She won the war, securing Skander's borders against its enemies, and a decade of peace followed.
