Stuffer

"Stuffer" is the colloquial name given to muzzleloading firearms, since the powder and ammunition are "stuffed" into the barrel. Stuffers are generally cheap, easy to make, and relatively primitive in nature though rather ornate and well-made versions exist. Without the simple clockwork springs that Whizzers use, even basic metalsmiths can make a Stuffer. Most Stuffers are smoothbore, limiting their accuracy at anything more than short range.
