Xanthid

A crab-like creature with a relatively humanoid form. They are covered in natural body armour and have one large pincer for a hand and one hand with just three fingers. Also capable of breathing underwater for an extended period of time.

Anatomy

• Six legs with pointed ends for feet
• Two arms, one with large pincer, other with three-fingered hand
• Almost non-existent neck with round head attached, stalk-like eyes come from the top of the head
• Earflaps on side of head to allow hearing and prevent water access
• Large and long mouth with sharp teeth in lower centre of head

Ecology and Habitats

Prefer coastal areas to be close to water. Unable to survive in mountains for very long due to high altitude.

Omnivorous, prefer meat.

Found mainly in coastal regions of Noora and in Lake Noora but also found in the Nutherian islands after they were colonised.
