Noah

Archie's friend and co-founder of Sanctuary Islands as a safe haven for Changelings. Noah - though a changeling - he often appears as an elf who is well past middle age. He sports a grey mustache and beard, and has long grey hair (the points of his ears show through his hair). He has a gentle, soft featured face, usually smiling, and always kind. Noah frequently wears peasant's clothing with a simple robe or cloak over them, and leather boots. He uses a plain wooden staff as a walking stick. His needs are simple and he is likely to spend any wealth he has on helping others. As of his desire to help he often be late arriving places as he is aiding those he passes. It was only due to the peer pressure of the other changelings that he accepted living in the castle. Their justification being it is important for their founder to have an impressive home. The castle also could serve as a defense fortification should the island ever be attacked, so he agreed.
Over the last decade with the population increase he stepped down as sole ruler and created a council to manage the island. The citizens voted Noah to be part of the council and has attempted to encourage growth of their sanctuary through expeditions to the various mainland locations. Unfortunately, over the last few years the Council has grown paranoid of discovery and by a slim majority they passed law prohibiting recruitment. This paranoia grew as they also forbade residents on the island to leave for fear of discovery. This law came into effect while Archie was out adventuring.

It is in this period of tension and unrest that Axel (or Lord Axel as he is prone to call himself) rose to prominence. Noah has grown increasingly frustrated with the unrest growing from his fellow changelings and often seen going on long walks where he is not seen for days. It is one of these long journeys which resulted in his current disappearance.
