The Heartwood

A verdant paradise of broadleaf trees in the northern lands of the Kingdom of Breaton following a path cut by the Pelen Way and it's tributaries. The Heartwood is a gentle forest with a wide range of game animals including grouse, deer, wolves and bears. The Kingdom of Breaton often hires hunters to scout and clear the woods of more dangerous animals and monsters.

The best way to pass through the woods is to take a boat from one of the many settlements that surround it or take the much longer route to the south around the edge where the woods are thinner, giving way to the foothills of Yillan Ridge.
