The Golden Lion

A tavern in Stockcross located outside of the walls close to the Grainfield Market. The Golden Lion is built into a block of houses and is itself a converted home giving a warm atmosphere and friendly vibe. 
The building is made of quarried stone and timber with a wooden roof that overhangs into the street to provide cover. There is a sign hung from a metal arm depicting a prancing lion of golden colour against a red field. Two large windows bathe the interior in light during the day and come nightfall oil lamps are hung and the fire stoked.  Several small tables fill the space with simple chairs for guests and a single bar with bottles of various liquors resting on a shelf behind. A keg of local ale is sat atop the bar. 
The Lion is run by a copper-skinned dragonborn named Xudrith Shimmerscale, a happy man of gentle nature and friendly attitiude. He stands nearly 7'7 in height and is muscular in build after years of military service. 
Xudrith often imports a rare alcohol from the south called Dragonsbreath Whiskey, known for its potencey and flavour. It is one of the few taverns in Stockcross who reliably has the liquor.
