The Dandy Lion

The artwork that hangs outside this bustling tavern depicts a lion's face and mane from the front. The golden fur is spread to look like the sun against a blue field. The lion itself is handsome and smiling, it appears to be wearing a monoclonal. The inside is well decorated with crushed velvet seating booths in the walls of dark green. Mahogany tables and chairs fill the center and wrought iron sconces illuminate the otherwise dim space. A large chandelier made from antlers hangs over the center of the room, you can see a dozen unlit candles purely for decoration were once lit there, the wax now hardened into milky rivers down the bone.   The bar is long and carved from a single piece of wood, it looks like it was once a tree trunk with a decorative piece etched across its face. The scene shows various people standing hoisting tankards and goblets to the bar as if holding it aloft with cheer and joviality.   The sound in here is low conversation backed by a single floating harp that plucks a soft melody. The air is scented with rich wines and cooked meats. Food and drink can be purchased here for a premium but it is considered one of the finer establishments, any cost well worth it.   The clientele are mostly business owners and other well-to-do individuals. Workmen and "lower" citizens are welcome, but don't often come, those who do are usually caravan workers who stay for one drink before making a quick exit, the weight of many eyes forcing them out.
