The Cloudtops
The second highest point in Beru can be found here, standing nearly four miles at its summit. The mountains themselves were once volcanic thousands of years ago, and some are still smouldering to this day. The rich soil feeds the many towns and villages in the area as well as an abundance of flora & fauna, much of the water in this area comes up warm to the touch and the great body of water Lake Tah is consistantly tepid all year round in the shallows, but colder in the deeper parts.
The age of these mountains means that they are well explored and every peak has been summited by someone and the main cave network has been thoroughly mapped. The main system has been converted into a large mining operation producing a wealth of gemstones and metals. The largest natural gems come from here and are famed for their clarity and quality.
The surrounding landscape has been tamed by the Dynasty and the major threats are confined to the extreme elevations within The Cloudtops.
