Stockcross Pelen Gate
This grand gatehouse is located on the southern shore of the pelen way providing acess across the river to the area known locally as Northshore.
Purpose / Function
This gatehouse acts as the only crossing point into the area known as Northshore, a collection of homes and businesses, farms and taverns. Built to fuction as a final defence of Lake Fymorrh against any invasion up the Pelen Way.
Architecture
This granite and wood complex is comprised of four main sections: A large stone walkway enclosed on all sides that is raised 50ft above the waters surface to allow ships to pass under it nearly 15ft wide lined with arrow slits and wooden crenellations along the top. Two large towers on either side of the river over 70ft tall and 50ft wide each with ballista crowning the top. Both towers contain ironbound doors of aged oak emblazened with the crowns symbol that grants access across the river. The final section is a wide wooden drawbridge that raises to allow ships through. This bridge is over 30ft wide and can have two carts pass by with space to spare.
