Mount Ruin
The most violent volcano in Beru and the newest at only 242 years old. Its formation caused the obliteration of Hearthsted, a town within the Kingdom of Breaton, though the resulting ashcloud created some of the most fertile lands on the peninsula.
The mountain stands less than a mile to its summit, and the sides are gentle slopes rather than harsh cliffs.
Vents of toxic gas often erupt from the mountain, and streams of liquid rock often meander down the sides burning all in its path. Attempts have been made to delve into Mount Ruin to mine for gemstones but all attempts fail within a few weeks as the ground tremors destroy any tunnels. The fire from the peak illuminates the night sky and can be seen from Pineglen, Latham & Farre.
Locals from the town of Diaron swear that a great creature is living at the summit.
