Lady Darella
Born to humble beginnings, Darella grew up in the town of Witchbark in the srping of 875. Her childhood was reletivly easy as her mother was a servant to Sir Marshall Strongback, Count of Witchbark, so food was always on the table. As the years passed her mother began to train Darella to work alongside her in Sir Marshall's employ. This would grant Darella an insight into the politics of the Kingdom & local management of a town.
As she grew older Darella showed a keen mind & high intellect. Despite being illiterate at this point in her life she was able to perform complicated mathmatical problems using her own unique method. These skills drew the attention of various nobels within Witchbark. On her 15th nameday Darella was given an opportunity rarely afforded to people of her standing by Sir Marshall, he offered to sponsor Darella & train her as his assistant. Her mother graciously accepted despite Darella's protests, explaining that this would give her a better life that she could only dream of.
Sir Marshall would become a second father to Darella. Paying for tutors to teach her to read & write, schooling her in the etiquette of high society & inducting her into his own personal business of accountancy would all prove to expand her horizons. Darella rose to each and every challenge, surpassing every obsticle Sir Marshall threw at her. Eventually, he would make her his second in command for his business & after his death, she was named sole inheritor of his estate and fortune.
Darella's position as a well educated young woman with a vast estate of property and coin made her the most desireable woman within the town, suiters came from all over the Kingdom to seek her hand in marriage, offering to unite their estates, joining businesses together or presenting vast quantites of money. Darella would refuse them all saying what would become the name of her estate "Business before Pleasure".
