Heartsteel Smithy

A blacksmith located in the northern end of Stockcross. The Heartsteel Smithy is known for their production of farm tools and horse tack. Though the workers here can create fine weaponry they prefer not to. 
The store is run by a group of blacksmiths who keep the forge lit all hours of the day and night, though they keep the hammering to a minimum at night. The stores owner and manning the counter is Wenthel Copperhand, a dark skinned gnome in his late 400s. 
Wenthel is famous for his skill with the forge, having once been the Royal Smith to the Breaton family. He wears a teal doublet with golden buttons embossed with the royal crest, a parting heirloom from his previous life, rich leather shoes and dark linen trousers. His large nose carries a set of thick glasses that make his eyes seem huge and perceptive, though they are quite cloudy with catarax. He is kind and philenthropic, often giving discounts to young famers and needy families, though he doesn't stand for cheaters or swindlers. He set up this smith shop at the end of the War of Tears and swore to never make another blade but instead inspire a new generation of smiths. He is treated well by his apprentices and members of the community, seen to be a spiritual grandfather to the neighbourhood.
