Greenshield Jungle

A verdant jungle paradise sprawling nearly a hundred miles bordering the lands divinding the Northern and Central parts of Beru from its Southern and Eastern edges. Subjugated to frequent thunderstorms and torrental downpours the lands here are wet year round with a humid, muggy air clinging to the trees like a curse.

To pass through this space is suicide, the jungle is host to terrible monstrosities from forgotten ages and native wildlife more dangerous than hired assassins. The trees that grow in the heart of the jungle is prized for its beauty and ease of use in construction of fine furniture. The safest way to navigate past the jungle is either to sail along the eastern shores, risking the more aquatic dangers, or to take the main path through alongside The Sapphire Run, risking the terrestrial threats.

Eldermen in surrounding towns speak of a lost city within the jungle containing unimaginable wealth.
