Deadlands

All attempts to settle this landscape have been fruitless. The longest 'successful' settlement was the great stone fortress built by Driston Empire and its outposts. These lasted for only six years before they were overrun by wildmen, beasts and other dangers native to the Deadlands.
The lands here are subjugated to vicious storms of wind, rain and lightning. Exploring more than a mile or so from the coast brings you to the foothills of the blackstone mountains here. Very little natural vegetation can be found here and large game such as deer is non-exsistant.

Geography

The landscape is barren and void of all but the most dangerous life. The trees that grow here often die young and wither in the biting cold and blustering winds. No one has passed over the bleak mountains to describe what may lie beyond. The area is has few caves or culverts to escape the harsh weather. The coastline is black and unforgiving with jagged stones lurking beneath turbulent waters.
