Festival of Colors

The festival of color is a monthly ritual that occurs in the city of Rakai. It is seen as a time to voice complaints and concerns regarding any policy the council has created. The festival of Color pulled its name from the use of colorful language, that is often used on the day, this is enabled by way of bright and colorful masks. Anyone is free to state a complaint before the council all complaints are registered and noted, over the course of the year 80% of requests are to be followed through on. Those that are not are traditionally not of any real import and are passed off to the smaller officials.

History

The Festival of Colors started in the year 1100 as the government was reforming itself under Mystaan the Gold. Mystaan thought it would be great import that the people had an avenue to the people in power, additionally it helped him grade and evaluate his administrative changes.

Execution

The central park will hold a large Bazaar where goods are sold for below market price as well as a few games of martial nature. Various churches and faiths will hold "recruitment" in the city park. There are a variety of other celebratory functions that occur during the day.

Participants

The high council and a few notable judges will oversee the function. Everyone else is simply a participant.
