Morana

Morana is a goddess of mystery, revered for her power over the realm of dreams, the cycle of life and death, and the icy embrace of winter. She is often depicted as a regal woman with long white hair, pale skin, and piercing blue eyes that seem to see through mortal guise. Her presence is associated with the delicate beauty of snowflakes, the stillness of graveyards, and the otherworldly chill of winter. Morana's divine domains include dream, grave, and frost. In the realm of dreams, she is said to hold sway over both the pleasant and the nightmare-inducing ones, and some mortals offer her sacrifices in the hopes of receiving prophetic visions in their dreams. Her association with the grave and death is twofold - she is both the one who leads the souls of the deceased to the afterlife and the guardian of the peaceful rest of the deceased.   In the winter months, when the world is blanketed in snow and ice, Morana's influence is strongest. Her followers believe that the winter months are a time for introspection and reflection, and that the frosty embrace of the season can be a time for growth and healing. During this time, some mortals offer her prayers and light candles to honour her, in the hopes of gaining her favor and protection against the harshness of winter.   The symbols associated with Morana include a silver sickle surrounded by a white halo, representing her role as a guardian of the dead and her power over the cycle of life and death. Some also use the image of a white rose or a snowflake to represent her icy and ethereal nature.
