Leski Corver
Aleskarren Corver (a.k.a. Leski)
Leski is an apprentice sketch artist for the Beourjen City Paper, and new resident of Beourjen City. She is the daughter of a former ethanian prisoner-of-war and, upon moving to Beourjen City, finds herself involved with city politics and nobility.
Her eldest brother Reise left the farmhouse and joined the army when Leski was eight, and was killed at Ferren Downs four years later. Her brother Garrett joined the army that same year despite their father's protests, leaving only Leski and Leike at the farmhouse for her remaining adolescence.
Shortly after beginning her position at the Paper, the main complex was set on fire while Leski happened to be working in the basement archives, thus leaving her trapped. She was rescued by Daveer Leidevelt, a civilian soldier from Brickard, and was brought to the fortress after being denied treatment at both the city hospital and the The Church of the Second because of her bloodline and sterilization.
Generally speaking, she wants more out of her life, though she finds herself second guessing this desire as well as the series progresses.
Childhood
Leski was born in Causquette, Aderia, and is the second youngest child and only daughter of Vetchen Corver and his late wife. Leski's mother died giving birth to her younger brother (Leike) when Leski was two and Leski has very few memories of her. She grew up on her father's farm with her father and three brothers, and had a warm but uneventful childhood. She spent her time in school and helping her father hunt and with farmwork, and enjoyed sketching and reading in her free time.Her eldest brother Reise left the farmhouse and joined the army when Leski was eight, and was killed at Ferren Downs four years later. Moving to the City
Leski moved to Beourjen City when she was twenty, having accepted a job as an apprentice sketch artist at the Beourjen City Paper (also despite her father's protests). Garrett helped find her a flat in North Beourjen and though the city wasn't as extravagant as Garrett had made it out to be, Leski was still excited to be living on her own and working.Shortly after beginning her position at the Paper, the main complex was set on fire while Leski happened to be working in the basement archives, thus leaving her trapped. Personality
Leski is at once a charming and quiet woman, and is eager to prove herself but also weary of coming off too strong. She often gets caught up in her work or the people she meets, and will sometimes unecessarily second guess herself.Generally speaking, she wants more out of her life, though she finds herself second guessing this desire as well as the series progresses.
I like the character of Leski very much! Did you know that Leski in Finland = Widow? Hope this is not a foreshadowing of her future!
Okay, so I did not know this—literally just picked the name cause I liked the sound—but ironically part of her later storyline does involve her marrying into the nobility and then killing her husband and I'm super excited about the accidental foreshadowing now so thank you for telling me this!
