The Dark Skies
The sky was once a hue that remains a subject of debate today, forgotten through the millennia. However, what remains in memory are the dark flames that engulfed the celestial vault. The sky was set ablaze by dark flames thirsty for light. The ash of the Skies floated and covered the earth. Evil spread like a tide of ink spilled onto parchment. The clouds were nothing but ash. In this poisoned sky rose a glowing sphere of light, the Sun
Pain and curse
Though the Sun's ascension spared the Living from utter doom, the Dark Skies left scars upon the world. Deprived of light, plants withered, giving way to famine and plague. Roots and fungi became the meager fare of survival. Many were struck blind and deaf, their minds shattered into madness. Tribes splintered, warring for what remained.
In their despair, Humans blamed the Chayatiem, accusing their pagan rites of ushering the world's ruin, while the Chayatiem scorned Humanity's hubris as the true cause. Whispers speak of cannibalism in that frozen millennium, where cold crept into every shadow. Yet, among the wretched, the Clans touched by Adam our venerated Father endured, their bonds strengthened by his radiant wisdom, their spirits tempered in his warmth.
