With its keen sense of hearing and eyesight, it can detect most predators, fanning its tail of pine green feathers with gold streaks that resemble tree bark in the sunlight, to dazzle and confuse the predator. Its long neck and body are covered in a rich emerald plumage that takes on a golden shimmer in the sunlight.
