Spitzenteufel

Led by the Demon Vater, Spitzenteufel is the home of the Word of Vater.

With the strength of his Inquisition made up of his most fanatical followers, Vats are expected to adhere to Lord Vater's word of law, or face judgement.

City life is under strict surveillance, but the outer rural areas are much looser regulated, and frequently are the home of dissent and other resistance. From time to time the Inquisition sends hunting parties out to detain suspected individuals.

Structure

Direct Orders are passed down from Vater himself to his Inquisition, while more mundane matters are handled through the Council of Vater, a Vater-appointed group of 10 regional leaders.

The Council handles more mundane matters such as taxes, trade policy, social policy, and funding for the various departments of the state.

Local level laws are handled by subregional leaders known as "Faithful", who dictate small scale laws in accordance with the higher level laws.

Spitzenteufel is populated mostly by Pariah and Northerner humans, with Beastkin populations more visible farther from the capital.
