The Good Faiths of the Bastion

The good faiths of the Bastion are not a monolith, but a chorus—each voice distinct, yet united in purpose: to resist the tide of evil that swells across the Span. Worship of the Seven Goodly Gods—Pelor, Heironeous, Ehlonna, Kord, Boccob, Corellon Larethian, and St. Cuthbert—once bound the city of Epoch in radiant harmony, their temples forming the spiritual heart of the Span. These deities embody healing, justice, creation, and protection, and their followers strive to uphold those ideals even in the Bastion's darkest hours.

Pelor’s faithful shine brightest in this hour of dusk. Clerics like Otto Sunero, devoted to bringing light to a world sinking into shadow, exemplify the faith’s unwavering commitment to restoration and redemption. The temple of Pelor now serves as both triage and sanctuary, its doors never closed to the suffering.

Ehlonna’s druids and wanderers, like Tama Dalkan and his mentor Midday Glen, guard what wilderness remains, believing the divine breath of the gods still lives in the untouched world. They pray not in chapels but in sacred groves, where life persists even when order falters.

Heironeous’s knights and judges offer a sterner creed—honor, law, and unyielding resistance to tyranny. In the Bastion's remaining halls, these faithful uphold dwindling laws and resist the iron creed of Hextor with steel and oath alike.

Though scattered, the good faiths endure. Their miracles grow faint as the Bastion weakens, but the faithful believe that through exalted deeds—self-sacrifice, mercy, and hope—they can rekindle the light. Not just in the heavens, but in the hearts of mortals.
