Quinn Amblecrown

Silver-tongued, scandal-prone, and forever chasing the next great song, Quinn Amblecrown has gone from awkward half-elf outcast to one of the Span’s most infamous bards. The notes below condense everything we know so far—childhood, heartbreaks, triumphs, and the increasingly dark bargains that now shadow his music.

Quinn Amblecrown

Aliases: “Lucky Quinn,” “The White-Liard”
Lean and wiry at 5 ' 4", Quinn carries the graceful build common to half-elves—slightly pointed ears, high cheek-bones, and eyes quick to sparkle with mischief

Early Life

Born in Epoch to human seamstress Elara Amblecrown and elven merchant Ilvisar Xyrlynn, Quinn grew up stranded between cultures—too elven for humans, too human for elves Person-Quinn Amblecrown. Music became his refuge; a travelling bard took him as apprentice, teaching him to turn pain into performance and prejudice into applause. When a disastrous debut in Vespera ended with rotten fruit and broken strings, Quinn vowed never to play for anyone’s approval but his own.

Romances & Heartbreaks

Elizabeth of House Aurora — Quinn’s first great love. His hesitation let rival bard Sebastian Lumere steal both spotlight and sweetheart, igniting a feud that climaxed when spectral soldiers—summoned by Quinn’s own spell—tore Sebastian apart during the Trials . • Linnea Fairweather — A gentle therapist he met in Epoch; their tender friendship flirts with something deeper, tempered by Quinn’s fear of corrupting her gentle spirit. • Adonia & Nyx — Twin priestesses of Demogorgon who gifted Quinn the Seal of Youth in exchange for “blood of the innocent.” Their relationship is equal parts lust, prophecy, and looming doom.

Key Relationships

The Party

Otto Sunero — Cleric of Pelor; moral ballast to Quinn’s excess. Otto twice dragged Quinn back from literal oblivion—first by True Resurrection, then by a miracle that halted Demogorgon’s tidal wave—earning Quinn’s fierce, if uncomfortable, gratitude . • Tama Dalkan — Wilderness druid whose steady pragmatism steadies Quinn’s theatrics. Together they orchestrated the Ettin-slaying ambush at the ravaged grove .

Mentors & Family

Ilvisar Xyrlynn — Estranged elven father, recently resurfaced to lecture Quinn on responsibility. Their reunion ended in shouting, smashed porcelain, and a shattered lute neck Person-Quinn Amblecrown…. • Old Maestro Ralston — Travelling bard who first taught Quinn “the story beneath the story.” Presumed dead after Session 012; Quinn still plays Ralston’s battered mandolin.

Allies & Antagonists

Jowan Cormac / Asmodeus — Quinn’s daring siphon of the Bastion’s Machina drained Jowan’s power and branded Quinn a heretic in Epoch. • Karstan, High Scourge of Hextor — Once Quinn’s puppet (via Dominate Monster), now an undead warlord hunting Quinn for revenge.

Notable Deeds

• Ritual Gambit — Outsmarted three hags by masquerading as a servant of the Veiled Master, saving Dayflower at the cost of Tracy’s life World Anvil • Trial of Personality — Broke Sebastian with a perfectly pitched Suggestion, winning the Trial but earning a mortal enemy — and the crowd’s horrified silence. • Drain of the Bastion — Plunged a stolen Angel’s-Bane dagger into the Machina Divinity, cutting power to every cleric in Epoch.

Current Status

Quinn now roams the conquered Span, his demonic Seal recharged and his youth restored, hunting verses potent enough to keep regret at bay. Each performance edges him closer to infamy—or redemption—while a prophecy from Dagon whispers of a crowned serpent and the song that ends the world.
