Child of Prophecy
Born alongside her twin sister Nyx to a cultist mother devoted to The Twin Maw, Adonia's birth was seen as a divine omen. The cult—hidden deep within the Pestilence—with their mirrored blue and green eyes fortold the twins to be avatars of Demogorgon’s duality, each embodying one of his twisted heads. Their birth was a sign that the Age of Severance was near. However, when the Holy Order of the Radiant Sword and the Sons of the Seventh Seal purged the cult, their mother fled. The paladins, unaware of their true nature, took the infants and separated them to be raised apart.
The Call and the Fall
For years Adonia tried to live as a normal girl, resisting the whispers in her dreams and the clawing urges within. But the call of Aameul, one of Demogorgon’s heads, grew louder. Her resolve shattered when Nyx found her—changed and marked by Hethradiah’s touch. Together they murdered Adonia’s foster family in a frenzied ritual and fled to the caves where their bloodline began, embracing the destiny carved for them in madness.
Blood and Relic
At Demogorgon's behest, Adonia and Nyx sought out their half-brother Quinn Amblecrown. Cursed by the Nameless One and aged into decrepitude, Quinn was gifted a relic by the twins that restored his youth—at a cost he did not understand. That night, all three shared a night of intimacy and dark ecstasy. Unknown to Quinn, both sisters conceived, fulfilling a deeper prophecy in blood and lust.
Double-Faced Allegiances
Now, Adonia—with Nyx at her side—serves among the Clerics of Hextor. Though the church believes she aids their conquest of the Span, she and Nyx have their own agenda. In secret, they whisper poison into Malachi’s ear, subtly steering him toward his doom. If he succeeds in claiming the Orb of Annihilation, he will not just destroy the city of Kadrel Karaad, but all of Bastion—and they will be one step closer to unmaking the world.
Current Whereabouts
Adonia is believed to be operating out of Epoch, working under the guise of a Hextoran missionary and seer. Though she wears the red and black of Hextor, her soul belongs to the screaming abyss beneath.
Legacy of Madness
Barely showing with child, Adonia carries within her the spawn of Demogorgon’s bloodline. She sees herself not as a mother, but a vessel—one who will give birth to the next stage of the Maw’s design. Whether her children will be saviors or destroyers is a question she does not concern herself with. All things must fall. She simply wishes to be there when they do.
