Session 59-61: We are living in a material plane~
General Summary
Liv and Rel fly up cliff with a rope
Liv’s wings are huge, twice the size as normal
They go back to normal size when on material plane
Once at the top they drop a rope down - takes an hour for it to get down due to the time difference between planes.
Saman goes up first to help reinforce the rope
Penny and Endira next but they're exhausted - Penny almost falls
Robyn last - she heads up quick after she sees an enormous creature with glowing markings passing by
At the top, more gold eating elementals arrive - Saman throws gold at them, picks Penny up and we leave
Set up camp near the river, Endira leaves during the last watch and heads to Purgatory
Head up stream and to the cave
Liv controls water to get us in the cave
Get to the magic bridge, Saman crumbles rations on it to show the invisibridge to us
Follow path, get to three paths, stream goes underneath them
Left and right have lights, middle is dark
Cut smooth as if stone removed
Reach end and see a door with runes
Lights either side
12 runes, separate from the door - like a ward
Leave it them go back and head left
Spiral down into a cavern, find a waterfall and lake
Saman sees images around the lake - from the imagery, the shape of the sword matches Penny's. He summons his sword and runes glow - some matching those on the door.
Nothing else in that cavern so head to route on the other side - find trapped gauntlets, words in Elvish, Abyssal and Gnomish
Saman uses detect magic to guide us away from traps
Get to mirrored cavern at the end
Saman drops a light rock in the deep pool
Big creature pops out
Defeat the spirit naga, Saman identifies creature and explains it can't be destroyed without powerful magic, it'll re-emerge in a few days.
Head back up to warded door - Penny hits the symbols that match in the other cavern and it opens
Devil on the other side - illusion, speaking Abyssal, says Penny asked for the water to be corrupted
Leeches are abyssal leeches from the abyssal plane - portal is one way
says Penny should know as false prophet how to close portal
Find notes from (names from petrified forest)
Penny closes portal, leeches stop
Head back out, notice water is clearing up
