Session 102-3: Until proven otherwise everyone is Elirith

General Summary

Discuss our plan to stay quiet, get in and get out of Bradkirk, don't cause any ruckus onto the street.
Liv reads her book; Robyn goes to the gnomish encampment to learn to tinker.
No messages left for Liv at Ale and Hearty
Head to Bradkirk; doors have bent and warped from the fire.
Peni can see a single figure in the main floor.
Robyn quietly climbs the scaffold; sees 3 bowmen on the remains of the mezzanine and the single person in the main floor.
Rel approaches; figure is silent as she approaches. She can see its Arafel with tied hands; she's had her tongue removed.
Liv can sense a lot of fear from the person in the middle.
Rel says "so you're a trap" then the archers shoot.
Fight ensues; Echo shows up and nearly ruins it for everyone.
Arafel was a lie, she turns back to a changeling when she dies.
Use invisibility to get out of the brewery; Robyn sees a figure going the other way but loses sight of them.
Get back to Haven; Mesh thinks Arafel views Rel as a loose end that they're trying to tied up.

Liv tries to send a message to Saman saying Tiberius is okay; normally would feel Arcane connection but like hitting molasses, message is enveloped. Unsure if he's alive.
Liv tests sending on a dead creature - it doesn't work.
Then tries sending to Arafel: "So that was interesting" response: "Next time I won't fail."
Receives another message "So kind of you to make yourself known to me by the way "I didn’t assume you were an idiot and that you would have known me already anyway. Thank you for replying Shadow Captain."
Liv goes to see Otho and explains what happened; Otho says the Shadow Captain is dangerous
They don't know who they are, where they are, and they operate under Otho's nose.
Otho doesn't like to know who or where this person is.
Liv asks if Otho knows who is running the caberet tomorrow - they know of him, mysterious creature, very charismatic.
Liv told Otho of using Commune; doesn't know if she likes it, doesn't seem like he can release Liv's mother. Ogrim said she's not in physical pain but it doesn't sound like it.
Caberet should be good to take their mind of things; from what Otho has heard, it should be a spectacle.
