Ghairon
The continent of Ghairon is home to the oldest forest of Bastion. It is the ancestral home of the Firbolg, it is home to a sect of Dark Elves that follow a mysterious power they call the Luxon, and it has the newest colony of the Dionsis Concord.
Throughout the great forest, known as the Coedwig, several fey creatures, giants, and other dangerous creatures can be found!
Firbolg
The Firbolg of Ghairon have lived in these forests since the Dawning Age, for exactly how long is unclear. There are several villages scattered throughout the Coedwig. Within the last few years a large section of the Firbolg homelands were burned as the phoenix, Pal'Rathar, the Grand Phoenix, was summoned into the Material Plane. These fires devastated the Coedwig, causing many of the Firbolg to migrate to different and not always safe parts of the forest. The responsible parties for the burning of the forest were Gallus Greyhelm and an unsuspecting Firbolg the world has come to know as Guardian. Dark Elves The Dark Elves of Ghairon have been fortunate that they have eluded the Curse of the Spider. This has been soley due to their following of the Luxon. A strange "deity" of light that influences the world through strange beacons it left behind. The Luxon has brought the knowledge of Dunamancy to the world of Bastion, though it has been heavily guarded by these Dark Elves. Dionsis Concord The Dionsis Concord has only had a colony on Ghairon for 15 years. They decided to settle here for the fertile lands and plentiful hunting within the forests. Ordais is the main settlement of the colony, with some smaller settlements scattered along the coast. The colony is overseen and governed by Duchess Evandria Divinefield and Earl Thurston Swarley. Peace and Conflict For the most part these ancient forests are a peaceful place. The Firbolg and Dark Elves have had a peaceful relationship for centuries. Often trading with and learning from each other. The Firbolg are also fairly peaceful with the colonies, despite their encroach upon the forest. The Dark Elves and the Concord have a more rocky relationship. Currently they have an armistace in place to stop any fighting between the two factions. The Concord's attempt at expansion barrelled into the lands of the Dark Elves which caused a battle to break out and disdain to flourish.
