Bastia
This island country is a series of free towns governed by the Dionsis Concord. Much of the island is uncivilized, with large forests, rolling hills, and a string of mountains.
Each town has a small militia that guards the town and the surrounding area. The towns are Botsville, Hargon, Altima, Veridale, and Haversham. There is also a base of the Urg Empire on a smaller island next to the main island.
The Gray Swamp: The Gray Swamp takes up a large portion of the northwest. Haversham is the town closest to this area. The swamp contains several mysteries as well as the remains of an old forest. The Rune River runs into the swamp. The Green Wood: The Green Wood lies on the northeastern part of the land. Therein lies the Green Lake as well as an ancient Druidic circle that is widely avoided by the locals of Altima. Recently an elf Druid only known as The Green One arrived in the wood to tend to its needs. The druidic circle was recently explored by a group of adventurers under the employ of the Green One. Rune River: This northern flowing river is the connecting passage through the mountains of Bastia. It was considered an oddity by scholars of the world as the water flows in from the sea, yet is somehow fresh water. After some research by a group of wizards, it was discovered that in the mouth of the river bed lies enchanted stones that filter out the salt from the sea. The river flows into the Gray Swamp. The Bastia Mountains: These mountains are the dividing point of the northern and southern parts of Bastia. They are the home of many different creatures, some rumors even claim them to be the home of an ancient silver dragon. Sintra’s Bay: Sintra’s Bay is the body of water that lies between the Green Wood and Botswood. It is sometimes used by fisherman as a quick route down to Botsville, despite its danger. Many fisherman who have traversed this way have not returned. Rumors claim a vindictive water spirit dwells in those waters. Botswood: This is the forest and hilled area that separates Botsville and the town of Hargon. Some superstitious huntsmen claim there is a monster living in those woods, but the Paladin protector who lives there says otherwise.

Creation:
The island of Bastia was raised up from the sea by the gods when Bastion was still new. Due to the island's strange make up, some scholar's believe that Bastia was the testing ground of the gods to create the rest of Bastion.
