The Cat with Nine Lives

150 years ago, a tabaxi known as Patrick I. Brochester came across an artifact. This artifact offered Patrick 8 more lives with a single condition. As long as he was alive, he would be hunted. Patrick took the deal, only to find an arrow through his chest a moment later. The last thing he saw looked like a moving rock.

A Life Well Lived

The next moment, Patrick woke up as a small babe, born not two minutes ago. He strangely kept all of his memories from his previous life, but was able to grow up again and live life anew. With this extended knowledge, he went into teaching. They called him Professor Inigo Boots. He taught many people of all the things he saw, and places he traveled in his past life. He thought if he had lived a good life doing good things, maybe, just maybe, he would not be killed. He was wrong.

On the Last Life

In the modern day, he has been killed 8 times. He has been a poet, a teacher, an explorer, a beggar and even a king, but he most recently held himself as a criminal. He has met his lifelong pursuer, Boks, and even formed a weird kinship with him. But he knows his days are numbered. He has decided to use his underground network to hide, and maybe, just maybe he can enjoy this life to the fullest before Boks gets him once again.
