Session 96: Animaesus and Tarrasques: Feywild Tarrasque
General Summary
Amu and Vear stand near the released seal of the 8th House, and Amu approarches the cynas to ask about his anger over the fall of the stagecourts. Vear lost many friends, and many other people died that day too. Birdman watches from nearby, and the beast watches him intently.
He slowly starts to walk toward it, to commune with it.
Meanwhile, Tenebris and Kaly have begun to tour the remains of the city, eventually getting hungry enough to stop at the 13th House district, to make some soup. With this, Master Lasi Yviw smells the treat, and he is invited to join the group of fey, for Tenebris' three body guards still stand with them, also hungry. They talk of Yviw learning from the Tarrasque and the beast, of his powers to transmute and control, and of a plan to attack the beast from within, to gain control of the resources again, by transmuting the beast's heart to his control. He needs many powerful casters to do this, and Kaly and Tenebris agree to join.
They then soon head to rest.
Meanwhile, as Birdman closes in to the beast, he touches his paw, and his raiment allows for him to be sucked into the skin, to travel through its flesh and blood and to join with its heart. Here, he tries to commune with the beast, to understand what it wants again, and again it wants the Sun, to have the light, to no longer be hungry by the dark. Yet, it wants to escape, and find the sun, and at that, it tries to break the final bond, the final seal, and with that, its spirit pushes, and its mind finds a connection to ideas, to feelings, to other planes: Earth, Fire, Wind, Water; Ghostly; Astral?; Fiery Soul; Perplexed; Clocks; Darkness; Light; Madness: he must choose, the spirit, the shadow of the beast must choose. He feels perplexed, so he follows, and he soon finds himself in a forest, in a pure form of eleven heritage, with the tarrasque now in his hand as a small figure, a tiny beast.
Amu is back at the tower of the Lord and Ladies, waiting for other arrivals to discuss with the City's leadership of next steps--when they all witness the beast disappear. They convene and discuss, and new plans of how to face the threat of dwarves from the South must be taken, and Pocket appear, the celestial of the 7th Stones, and how unity must be achieved. Yet, Mel is not convinced, and worries of splitting forces. Amu, however, finds the other druids ready to create a Storm of Vengeance for these incoming dwarves, one only seen once every 1000 years. Amu also calls out the Walkers for their lack of presence, for not being here, but some are, in fact, and those are also some of the druids who pledge to the storm. Indeed, even Leandra is here, a new found Walker for the City of Salt.
Mel stays after in the meeting, and Amu and her send messages to Eros to know more of the primordial monstrosities taht the dwarves have. They learn of the recent movements, of Eros' attempts to thwart the dwarves, and of moves to create peace within and about the Lands of the Animaesus.
We end with the Fey watching the tarrasque disappear from the 13th House encampment, and then Tenebris creating another child. This one, again, sparks a reacton from Kaly, but this time 15 lights radiate out like rays through the sky. A warning? A flag? A symbol? Tenebris and his fey friends know not.
