Session 9: City of Salt, 4 Ways: Matilda's and Dark Caves
General Summary
We start outside Maltida's Brothel, where Eros, Cotton, and Birdman with Roxana go to meet up with Wendy for a night on the town. Maltida asks Eros for a performance, and meanwhile a meeting erupts and most of the audience from the 12th House start to leave at this discontent.
Roxana begins to carouse as Wendy and Cotton with Eros discuss Altopar and their need to get drunk and forget about Aengilize, the 13 Words of Power, the strife in the city, perhaps. Yet, even Wendy can see the rift forming in the city from the 10th and 12th House.
We then go down to the tunnels with Stryke, and he finds the cave rivers filled with undead of some sort, and Gorg nowhere to be seen. Most importantly, Stryke came to ask the vulpin druid for advice on Telearia's leaving of the city for heroes elsewhere. Yet, Gorg first needs help with destroying these undead. Stryke easily aids the druid, but with a strange paralysis only taking over him once from their undead claws. With them gone, Gorg and the melin Stryke discuss the future, the patience needed for it, and the odd balance the The 13 Binder Lords have created at the cost of the nature around the city.
Stryke then returns home, finding a note from Cotton to join the rest of them at Matilda 's Brothel. He finds Eros singing the traditional dwarven ballad The Burnt and Beefed Wellington. They then spend the night drinking, and we continue next week with that party.
