Session 85: The Lord's Pocketed Heart: Animaesus and Tarrasques

General Summary

In the depths of the sewers, the 11th House Lords, assisted the giantkin wolf of the 1st House, Killian, face against the falling might of the 9th House Sorcerers. At least that is what was seen this night, as dark as it was.

The depths part, climbing up into the alcove and ledge of the 9th House cloning facility, trapping Xantha, mind already broken, and his daughter Karyn, and his protector Zosk, Tenebris, formed into the might of a goristro, a minotaur like demon from the Abyss, bulging and grotesque, huge beyond most imaginings, stomps, charges, teleports, slams with a terrible might, and with that the daughter falls, Zosk is slain, and Xantha only tries to teleport himself, a possession of sorts, between different targets; he is lost himself, mind torn from not only losing his daughter and friend, but seeing the demon, and then having the feeble mind curse placed upon him by Faurwiin.

Further away, more close to the entrance into the blood-filled pool, cave--cloning facility of the 9th House, where he hand his two sons face off against and fell a half dozen or so aberrations, ghouls, and almost young, cloned tarrasques--those incubating in the pools below them. They are able to defeat the others, and reconvene together, bind Xantha, and dispose of the other bodies.
As they leave, Faurwiin takes the cloning equipment and places it in his own demiplane for later; Tenebris marks the area for his return, to take other resources for future use.

Faurwiin and Tenebris then travel to New View, and there they procure six potions for future use. 4 Universal Resistance Potions, and 2 speed potions.

We then find ourselves forward in time, to after Birdman leaves with Pocket from Mel and his assassination of Ssech. Birdman comes with Pocket to the 11th House Tower, to meet with Faurwiin, yes, but chiefly, he thinks, to help Pocket complete an assassination plot for these Syth.
They meet outside the gates, and Faurwiin opens them, his sons, his apprentice Tenebris, and the guardian dragons standing at the ready. The sons sense something off, for the minds are blurred between the Birdman and another entity. However, they do discuss Birdman's actions, the death of Ssech, the alliance of Mel, the coming actions to release the Seals, the Words of Power, the Hold of the 13 Binder Lords over the City of Salt.
Pocket struggles to stay quiet, and he whispers for his own reveal or engagement, but Birdman says no. However, the trust is not mutual, and after hearing of Mel's questionable alignment queries from Faurwiin, and the declarations from the Syth about his intentions and control of the City of Salt--Pocket floats out, invisible but still seen, distracted, in awe, tears of light flowing from his tiny face. The sons of Faurwiin see him, and the Lord of the 11th House orders them all, and Tenebris too, to encircle the Celestial. Yet, he dashes away, magic involved. And he turns to convince Faurwiin of his need for aid, and need for a trade between access and knowledge.
Birdman is confused, and angered at Pocket's deception; he screams, and thr Tarrasque retorts in response. Birdman's apparent connection to the Tarrsque is most strong. Birdman most clearly disagrees with Pocket, and he leaves to go to the beast at the center of the Keep. He tries to sit in front of its maw, and connect, but only whispers from the ravens nearby hint to his own consumption of more spinal fluid, of a more visceral connection to the beast. So, he does, and he mutates again, claws growing from his left hand, and when he roars, the Tarrasque does too, and it raises its left hand as Birdman does.
Afterward, Birdman rests upon the brow of the beast.

We wrap up the session with Amu and Karen finishing the long day of helping the evacuations of the people, finding the nooks and crannies where others might hide, who do not know the full weight of what will happen whent he beast rises. They talk of her father, and of her future. She wants to leave, but Amu will not let her, and eventually, they go to rest. However, he stays as giant bat to keep vigil, for the young Karen does not know what will come if she does get involved.
