Session 62: Scallywags: The Faces' Fleet Face

General Summary

Ilknar and Teyos have been separated from the others as they tried to fly over the bloom, only to have it, the bloom, slap and destroy one of Teyos' summoned owls. The other slowly fall/flies to the sea below, ensuring the two are trapped. Seeing few options, either to attempt to fly above, dive beneath, or to carve through the bloom itself--all of these choices assume complete focus--Teyos elects to summon a quetzalcoatlus, a huge dinosaur, a beast of the skies, so that she and Ilknar can fly with ease over the bloom. They also decide to help Roland and Mila, she who just summoned her own magical folding boat, hoping the Faces of the King see her summons, her words as truth. Yet, the fliers above do not, and so she joins the elf astride this large beast, and the soar to the deck of the Call.

Once aboard, Mila quickly joins the boarding party, that of Brimstone, Pojin, Dosgratin, Chatulkik, Gyc, Mercou, 76, Vumpesh, and Deoy. Valia and G are already aboard, and presumably Aikhon too, for he is not on the Call. Thus, Ilknar stays behind to get some healing from Ganoi, a syringe he recently fixed, something Rognur left behind. It removes the giant's exhaustion, and he then rages, and walks astride the Call and this war vessel of the Faces Fleet. He watches as Mila runs from nose to foot of the boat, pleading for a time of less bloodshed, but she still watches on as Chatulkik, Deoy, Valia, and Brimstone, with the others help, pummel the crew to edges of rails, to falling off the boat, to falling unconscious and never waking again.
Roland also begins to aim canon, and he fires to the presumed leader of the crew, this human Inquisitor, Aikhon called them, a mastermind of the Faces Lords and Fleet, a master mariner for them to face now. Yet, the face here, Mila, pleading for peace, invigorates Ilknar to also yell for peace, but really for submission, and his giantkin aboard the Call, the frostkin as well as the Zile, and even duo of trollkin aboard the Faces' war vessel, yellow in unity, in solidarity for the prince and future king. Chatulkik kills two ruthlessly, and another behind the sight of others; Gyc decaptitates another, and defends Mila's choices; Dosgratin does too.

This shudders both crews, and as the Call rubs its hull agains this Faces war vessel, Valentha, the daughter of Dovah, and with Valia, focus in on this Faces' Inquisitor. He must not be allowed to survive. Roland fires the canon at him, and the fire turns one of the Inquisitor's loyal goons to mist.

Hearing the giants roar and the Inquisitor and Mila attempt an agreement, but also feeling and understanding it is only a matter of time before the Kraken comes from the depths, Aikhon decides to dive back into the waters and to warn the Call of what will comes, the deep and the beast.

The Call breaks away from the fight, and Aikhon asks for Noodles, and he wants Noodles to give him his bag of holding, so he and Noodles can join the two prumably inside the Kraken or at least near enough to tear part of it asunder into the Astral plane as the two demi-dimensions merge and meet. He suggests that Netenti, Noodles' homonunculus servant does this, but the creature only share an obscene gesture at such a suggestion.
Meanwhile, Valia rages on to destroy this man, refuses healing from Mercou, and suffering attacks and immobilization from his own crew, all at the hopes for a peace, from a man who warns another man will not take so kindly to these actions. Empty threats Mila wants to believe, but Valia will not tread, but she is still thrownt to the ground by the gnome, and soon the human Inquisitor drops his weapons and concedes. Yet, even G and Valentha cannot withhold their magics, the paralyze him and damage his mind thoughts, weakening him just to a point, even after Revving Death carved out part of his torso, so that Valia can kick him overboard, into the waters, so that the Kraken and other beast may eat at his torn body and evil soul.
Noodles does not like this suggestion, and sure he thinks there must be a better way. Aikhon begins to suggestion another, but Teyos volunteers herself to dive again, and she takes the bags, even at Aikhon's apprehension, his reminder of her injuries already sustained. She shrugs this off, for at least they know she can withstand a hit or two from the beast, let alone her innate abilities to assist her. Plus, Aikhon is not the captain to really order her around, and Pojin (who is assisting his daughter aboard the Faces' vessel) and others who could sway the stark-minded sea elf are busy as well aboard the vessel of the daughter of Dovah. Peanut, Firi, Aikhon, and soon Roland join Teyos in the depths below. Maybe they can be a distraction long enough to allow the sea ranger to plant the bags of holding.

Aboard the Faces' Vessel, once the inquisitor is knocked overboard, the remaining crew and the Call's boarding party and crew reel and wait. Most do know of the dark form beneath the waves, and a few of the key Scallywags intuit that the creature is biding its time, especially after the canon fire it has already taken.
