Session 57: Kelrir, the Great Primordial Primate; Animaesus and Tarrasques

General Summary

In the morning, and on a field of battle in the southern most reaches of the Lapid lands, still just north of Testudine territory, Liam sneaks and pummels the dwarven squads and leaders, still oscillating 100 feet above the ground by Solas' concentration and distoration fo the gravity around them, the drowkin explodes fireball upon the dwarves, weakening them indeed, and sending a few of their great warriors and armor scattered west of their battle.
They all hear at this point, to the south, the dwarven camp proper, responds with fear and movement to the thunderous claws of Stryke, tearing into plate armor like paper. Yet, they cannot react yet, not with still so many dwarves about them, ready to fight and stand their ground--if they could but find the ground, for the float above like clouds, and in those moments, Solas creates another distortion of gravity, and sends the beings even further up above into the sky--nearly two hundred feet. And then she releases her concentration, and the distortion resets, and the almost two dozen dwarves plummet below. Their resilience is proved, for many still stand after this, their armor and training keeping them alive from such magical onslaught. Their captain and leader tries to organize their movements, but he falls two times, before finally a third.
Before he could reach to thrice, however, he first must contend with magic and villainy from Sadarr and Howl, Solas and Trillo. Yet, all the while, even after the monkey primordial falls the 200 feet, its pilot is controlled by hideous demonic arcana, forcing it to laugh hysterically, and thus the monkey mechanoid as well would laugh hysterically, and even after all that S'arrek barrages the pilot with a mental lance, quelling any movement or desire to move from this pilot. He then also, the grand wizard, former resident of the 11th House, S'arrek, well he opens the cockpit of the mechanoid, and he allows not only he, but eventually also Liam and Solas to see within. Solas takes this as opportunity to stop this evil dwarven army from gaining more hold in these lands, but S'arrek and Liam see that this pilot, this birdfolk, an aarakocra, they eventually learn through Eros' mental chess, her telepathic bonds to both friend and fore--they learn this birdfolk, this Dess, is a slave of this dwarven army. He rose to this position through slavery, by being one of the lucky to pass the Trials of the Primordials, as dictated by the Jourvian Seven Lords. Dess followed over one hundred one day up a spire, eventually only to learn, twenty spots from the top, that each spot before had failed, and they had been executed at the blade of a dwarven axe, sent to the other planes, for they did not perform well enough, they did not bond as the new descendent of Kelrir, the Great Primate. He did, for he was shown by the Star of Kolnop and of Kaitba, so he coud become a Jourvian Star, too, a true dwarf to the empire and people.
Yet, his conversation was off, his look at the casters of the group as he discussed the goals of his leader set Eros off, and her telepathic manipulations and spells of the weave and how people are connected to it, this helped her to see that Dess was only biding his time. He knows each of them, not just those gifted with the Weave, each one of them can be a gift to Kolnop, Kilni, and Kaitbat, the great primordials who came before Dess and his Kelrir. Eros connected all these thoughts to the others of the group, and with that, they decide Dess is not worthy of this plane nor of his bond to the Great Primate Kelrir. They sacrifice him, and they continue to loot the remaining fallen dwarves.
