Session 56: East or West, Tentacles and Blooms: Scallywags
General Summary
It is a new day, and the Scallywags were awoken at 2 am the night before, for the battle of the Factions, those who lay claim to the Bloom and the Fallen Star began anew. From the east, moderate canon fire erupts from the Faces and other factions unknown. From the west, Z and her compatriots engage with the Kraken, the Call eventually sees as it approaches, and north beyond, the Nautiloids, the Trio, it seems, come south to take advantage of the Kraken's carnage.
The Faces fleet follows the Ghostly ship, the canonfire of course missing, and then their horns of engagement hint that they are ready to follow the Call and its Dwarven allies west after the ghostly ship disappears when the sun light touches its sails.
In the center with Saerah, Ilknar, Mila, Teyos, Roland, and Valia were awake from the screams early on in the night, and at first they decide to reinforce and investigate those in the west, those who received such fear in the night; however, before they can but get to the other side of the Center of the Bloom, high above, they see another nautiloid hovering above, over 650 ft. It looks to take, to swoop in and engage with the golden structure that is the pollen creature for the larger bloom; they notice the deep connection Saerah has with this place, and they are unsure of how bringing her away from this center with affect the Bloom. They draw her attention to it, nonetheless, and Saerah barks out to Mym, to waylay this nautiloid before it can get closer to the Golden structure.
With this knowledge, the group finds means to fly above, and assist Mym. Roland calls out to Mym, and he flies towards the human so friendly to know the draconic tongue, and Roland flies with G's help, as well as Ilknar, towards the long serpentine dragon, and Ilknar is able to grab upon the tail of the creature before Roland, and he flings and whiplashes behind. G is able to focus the transmutation magic, in aid with the celestial essence of Mym, and he slingshots himself upward toward the group. Yet, to what instigates this, Valia with Saerah's Help, following after Mila, the high fucking mage, open a door through another dimension in order to teleport on the upper deck of the nautiloid. Teyos, not wanting to miss out, conjures to giant eagles to help her fly up to the nautiloid itself.
Fearing the dragon's arrival, presumably, the nautiloid flies more up, more than 1000 feet above the water's level. This forces the others, other than Mila and Valia, to fly with more focus and effort upwards, to hold on to Mym with dire effort. Valia and Mila soon engage with the deck crew of the nautiloid, taking out a mind flayer quickly from chainsaws and other magics of boom that Mila creates to fell this aberrations. Obviously others from inside the ship awaken and react.
The call sees the Kraken dive below, destroying one ship by ripping it in twain, and dragging another larger boat below the surface. They hope to maneuver to allow all the opposing factions, the incoming pair of nautiloids, the kraken, and the Faces of the King that follow behind.
