Scallywags: Session 23: The Depths of Stormhold: Rescuing Ilknar
General Summary
Combat session, mostly.
The group deals with the skeletal storm giant, then the split, with Deoy heading south to the depths. He finds Giant Temple and perhaps hidden treasure under a statue that looks very much like a cooler Ilknar. The rest of the group goes up stairs, except Teyos and Aikhon, as they check in on Deoy's antics.
Meanwhile, Ilknar attempts to escape his prison, armed with nothing more than volcanic stone. He is able to overwhelm the Giant guard, and chase him upstairs, only to find his true warden, a female storm giant, waiting for him.
The other group goes upstairs to find the bedchamber of one of the giantess queens, and they pilfer a trunk full of platinum pieces.
Upon returning downstairs, the group finds another giant guard, and he begins to run, and while underwater, Teyos, Aikhon and Deoy ware waylaid by beastly and undead guards for his ancient Giant tomb and temple. The rest of the group stops the giant, and they are able to convince him to lead them to Ilnar.
He does, and the group finally reunites after Aikhon and Deoy steal from the ancient giant sarcophogus. Here, once back together, they plan on how to ambush the throne room. Yet, first, they must take care of two giant skeletal guards.
