Scallywags: Session 10: Dark Knights and Cloud Giants
General Summary
11th of Light, after sun down, seven in the evening, and E'krae has gathered the whole crew of the Horizon's Call to divvy out earnings for the most recent selling of ship and hold, before the Tentacled Ship was found. With the gold earned from the yuan-ti, the crew split the silver and keep the gold and one gem for he ships fees and resources, the emerald. The 1000 gp sapphire they plan to sell with the dwarves in days to come.
It is at this point, the Skiff breaks out his plans to muzzle Aikhon Dovah Rango . Firstly, he has his Red Sow he purchased from the Animaesus in the Animal Walk, a powerful alcoholic beverage made from the dried blood-flecks of tarrasque blood. He only has eleven full drinks, 12 with the young Reddem partaking with Ilknar. Dosgratin Bloodshoulder also uncorks his own special dwarven ale, and a party upon the Horizon's Call ensues. Albeit brief, the crew enjoys the means to reconvene and find themselves--but questions of the future hold in everyone's mind, but vocalized by the human deckhand Seren. She speaks eloquently and true, but the officers know that there is still time needed for all business to be arranged, both old and new.
The crew begins to break for bed, and the overly drunk, Aikhon included, follow their orders for sleep while Brimstone organizes the crew for the required militia of the night for the Knights of Ne, yet the crew will earn gold per head cleaved. Here Skiff makes moves with stealth and twice but not thrice failed sleights of hand to muzzle the drunken dragonborn of acid, Aikhon the treasurer of the call. He nearly awakes the dragonborn, but the golden kobold succeeds with the help of Fl'ta Ikewas, narrowly. They leave behind only but a golden scale of the kobold and the fake hairs from the flumph's mustache.
Pojin Saenbibas , Kevdae Tosscobble , Dosgratin Bloodshoulder , Teyos Oushos and Rognur Cromsoms , Skiff , and Ilknar --with the deckhands Ralds, Neroon, and Weebs "The Short Shank" --wait until their first watch, around midnight where the Undead foretold by the Knights of Ne rise from the depths of the shores of Feon. The Knights and this night militia of The Crew of the Horizon's Call form a defense line and destroy seven abominations who wielded sword and bow.
It was mostly upon the decks of Ne, those that rise ten to fifteen feet above the raucous waters. Moreover, that elevated position allowed for Ilknar and Skiff gain momentum and advantage while Rognur swung underneath, undead being punched, smashed, slashed and grappled.
The group then goes to bed. Yet, not all, at first, for the clouds break above, in reaction to the end of Ilknar's elemental rage. A cottage appears the clouds move, one supported by clouds as well, levitating this giant sized cottage effortlessly. It is large indeed, and Ilknar knows these cloud giants wish for parlay, otherwise they would have brought a keep for aerial bombardments.
