Dealing with Tentacled Parts: Scallywags Session 7: The Grey Coasts Campaign
General Summary
(Combat focused session)
On the 7th of Light, 698, the Scallywags find themselves engaged in a bout of life or death over ownership of a fallen airship. They fight for mere feet as they trek upwards inside this odd ship made of shell and tentacle. The psychic onslaught may have been nearly too much for many of the landing party, if it were not for the aggressive tactics of Brimstone, Skiff, and Ilknar, with the needed, scientific aid from Rognur to ensure everyone's stability.
They realized, most importantly, that this vessel was serving as an incubation chamber for many other aberrations to be created later from its brood. Yet, five souls had to be sacrificed in order for that evil to be fully, initially quelled. They also dispatch the escaped sailor as he was presumably another member of the incubation.
They know two got away via their psychic magics, so a return should be expected from the crew.
The Landing Party then spends the next three days, under the guide of Rognur and Skiff, dismantling the fallen, tentacled ship. They gather what Rognur calls the 'frontal cortex' of the ship, hoping to use it as an energy source to reestablish a connection with the elemental spirits that once made the Call fly. They also scavenge the bodies of what remains of the ship.
They also find gem and gold hidden away in the spawning pool of the airship.
They destroy what is left of the ship, after Skiff also scavenges some cartilage to reinforce the hull of the Call.
