Familia Falinescu

The Falinescu family was a wealthy family of nobles residing in Orașnou and perhaps its only noble family. Wealth was passed to the most recent generation, but Lucian Falinescu continued to build upon the family's prosperity through the success of his inventions, and his wife Glovia was noted for her skills as a healer.
The fate of the family began to change when, nearly a decade ago, their daughter Isabella Falinescu died from disease. Although (or perhaps because) Isabella rose as a ghost, her death sent Glovia into a downward spiral of dark emotions and desperation, ultimately culminating into an obsession to bring Isabella back from the grave at any cost. Glovia began to research black magic and forbidden science. When Lucian demanded she stop, she murdered him and turned him into a flesh golem. Glovia ultimately met her end at the hands of adventurers when she tried to implant the soul of her daughter into another young girl named Sorina. With the fall of Glovia, Isabella's ghost was laid to rest. Lucian was the only son of the Falinescus. It has not been revealed if Lucian had any sisters or if any other more distant or older relatives still exist.
Falinescu Manor - Located outside of Orașnou, Falinescu Manor was the home of Glovia Falinescu, Lucian Falinescu, and Isabella Falinescu. The elder Falinescu Family had it constructed for Lucian and Glovia when they were young and first married. After Isabella's death, it became a place of dark rumor. In fact, it is here where Glovia began performing grotesque and forbidden research into the resurrection of Isabella following the latter's death. As an example, she transformed the servants into ghouls. The manor was haunted by Isabella's ghost until after the defeat of Glovia, upon which Isabella found peace. The doors inside were locked but could be opened using the butler's ring carried by Jakob. It is unknown what happened to the manor following thee defeat of Glovia.
Glovia Falinescu – Glovia Falinescu was the primary healer of Orașnou and one of the village's ruling council. Highly skilled in anatomy, Glovia has also developed a number of healing abilities using arcane magic.She supervised food supplies for the winter, and she made food for those unable to afford it.Beneath her acts of charity, there was a more sinister side of Glovia: an obsession with bringing back her daughter, Isabella Falinescu no matter what the cost. To this end, she joined the cause of the witch Esmae Amarantha, becoming what Esmae called the First Obsession.
Isabella Falinescu - Now deceased, Isabella was the young daughter of Barovian nobles Lucian Falinescu and Glovia Falinescu. They lived together at the Falinescu Manor in Orașnou. Unfortunately, about a decade ago, young Isabella fell gravely sick and perished from the disease despite her mother's best efforts.
