Dementation


Dementation is a sub-Discipline of Dominate that is available to ONLY Malkavians. It is their ability to project their madness into the minds of others, and it is feared throughout the nocturnal world.   

Level 1

Passion Molder

  The Malkavian can enflame or dead the emotions within the target, increasing or decreasing the change for Frenzy. The Malkavian can add, or subtract, as many dice as their Dominate dots to the dicepool of the target when it comes to Frenzy checks. Lasts for one night.   Cost: 1 Rouse  

Level 2

Fire Voice

  The Malkavian can cause Kindred and mortals alike to enter into Rotschreck out of fear of fire. If there is no fire, the target will hallucinate fire. Automatically works against mortals. Against Kindred, roll Manipulation + Dominate vs their Composure + Awareness.   Cost: 1 Rouse  

Level 3

Babble

  Malkavians are all connected through a mysterious force known as the Madness Network. With this power, a Malkavian can speak in the mind of any other Malkavian, regardless of distance, or even having met the target before. Cannot be resisted; if a Malkavian wants to talk to another through the Network, the voices will always come through, even at inopportune times.   Cost: 1 Rouse  

Level 4

Stain the Soul

  The Malkavian can cause Aggravated Willpower damage to the target by sharing their madness. The Malkavian rolls their Manipulation + Dominate vs the target's Composure + Awareness. If the Malkavian succeeds, the target temporarily loses their mind, ceding control to the Storyteller, and the target takes 1/3 the number of successes (rounded down) in Agg Willpower damage.   Cost: 2 Rouse  

Level 5

Coma

  The Malkavian can lock the target in the prison of their own mind, placing them into a coma or Torpor for several days. The Malkavian rolls Manipulation + Dominate vs the target's Composure + Awareness. If the Malkavian wins, the target enters Torpor or a coma for the number of successes over. This coma can only be broken before the limit has passed by entering the mindscape of the victim, and convincing them to awaken.   Cost: 2 Rouse
Each dot of this sub-Discipline can be learned AFTER the corresponding dot of Dominate has been learned. It does not take training, but comes naturally as a part of the Malkavian condition. XP costs match the prereq Domination dot.
