Hobgoblin

Shalasite (from the Shalasim desert on the border of Silesia) A hobgoblin who still lives within the militant, highly trained, and tactical desert tribes and cultural structure. Hobgoblin culture as a whole is highly structured, but in a way that focuses on small gains over a long perspective. Living as nomadic tribes within the unforgiving Shalasim has led them to be extremely tactical in everything from survival to warfare, and they are well practiced at warfare. They have trained themselves to have a long-term mindset in nearly everything they do and tend to be very pragmatic. Shalasite Hobgoblins tend to wear hide and leather armors that are breathable and easy to move in, and have cloaks and robes which shield them from the hot desert sun which they wear at nearly all times. They often ride horses and camels, and the tribes that remain in the desert tend to be both fiercely independent, and fiercely loyal to their clan and kin. Mamluq (Silesian) You are one of the Hobgoblins that has adapted to Silesian society, either as a former slave, or as a convert or you are from tribe in allegiance with the Shahs. In many cases you or others like you help the Silesians fight against the other “wild tribes” in the desert that still threaten the city-states.
