Nikito Matveskiy

Nikito Matveskiy, born 1452 DR, was a fisherman from Palischuk, now a streltsy for the House of Starosta. His father, Nikolai Matveskiy was a fisherman, and so was his grandfather, and his father too. Nikito however, hated fish and would frequent the Rusalka's Respite Tavern in Palischuk each evening for a helping of kvass and any other meat than fish so he could cope with the endless sight of fish. In 1481 DR, Prince Vasilej Starosta and his Bogatyr would walk into the tavern to recruit soldiers for his retinue. Nikito Matveskiy would join, along with his drinking-buddy Kavel Zhikov, so he would never again have to look at a fish again.
