Death of the First Captain
Life, DeathThe First Captain of the Dark Veil, Gentalo the Brash, dies in battle against the Gorgon, Celia. Frozen to stone, the Gorgon destroyed the statue into 1,000 pieces. The Dark Veil retreats, their first failed mission since the creation of the company. The Lieutenant, Welton Krome, is field-promoted to Captain. Welton, a meek human from the southern city of Fallentine, will oversee many more mission failures.

Fleeing from Gela
Population Migration / TravelFollowing a significant defeat against a Devil, Thaxikis from the Outer World of Helios, the Dark Veil's employers attack their stronghold in Gela frustrated by their hirelings' failure. After slaughtering many of the Dark Veil's foot soldiers, the employers run the rest of the company out of town. A vote of no confidence takes place among the officers and Welton is removed as Captain. The previous half-orc Martialmaster, Gilthesh, is elected to become the Captain.

Lieutenant Brommoni Runeblade, a female dwarf from the kingdom of Thelthiad, is promoted to the first female Captain of the Dark Veil. Brommoni the Wise is how she will become known.

The Dark Veil succeeds in taking the stronghold and absorb many foot soldiers of the Craven Watch into the company. The Dark Veil are the only mercenary company with a presence in Homeshead now.

The Dark Veil travel to an Outer World for their first time, the Cracked Crystal, a frozen tundra of wind, snow, and cracked glaciers. The Dark Veil succeed in killing the Frozen King.
