Anatomy
- The number of limbs and facial features varies based on rank and genetics.
- The external part of the demonic genitals is a flexible, hollow tube (which is retracted inside a part of the body called the thyl when not in use) called a zoor. Inside the body, the zoor is connected to a muscular balloon called a donosi. When aroused and stimulated, the donosi releases a viscous substance called vol.

Naming Traditions
In Alyse culture names hold power. That's why it's common to give your child a given name and a true name, and not uncommon to have gibberish as their true middle name.
Most people don't use their true names for anything other than magic. True names are more formality and a protection thing.
It is also considered respectful to address someone by their given middle name as opposed to their first name as using their first name is kind of overly familiar.
It is also considered respectful to address someone by their given middle name as opposed to their first name as using their first name is kind of overly familiar.
Much like the Fæ, most Seryphame-born Demons have two names. Their ‘Human’ name, Ryeod, and their secret true name, Rak'ia. Knowing, and more so using, someone’s full true name is considered very intimate and gives you a margin of power over them.
Seryphame-born Demons almost always have middle names in both their Human name and true name. Their true middle name is usually a made up word. This is again to protect against the use of true names. Traditionally, it shows closeness to use a Demon’s first and middle name, called Tyl, given name, when speaking to them. It is considered impolite to use someone’s given name unless you are very close emotionally.

Gender Ideals
Seryphame Demons are a hermaphroditic species, meaning rather than multiple sexes, Demons have one sex. A Demon’s gender is not related to their physical anatomy but rather how they feel comfortable. Many former humans identify with the same gender as they did as a human but Demons born in Seryphorm usually cannot be “cisgender” or “transgender” as they were not designated gender at birth.
Relationship Ideals
Marriage is actually fairly uncommon among Demons.
Polyamoury is extremely normal. Monogamy is not very common.
