The Burn/The Lightening
Twice a year. Five days of no night as Azurhia passes between the two suns and skips orbit.
For those of you not entirely steeped in the lore of Azurhia, here's what you need to know. Azurhia as a world orbits two suns. This is of course, impossible, and only works because the world is aligned so closely with Faerie. It is held stable by fae magics. It makes a figure eight orbit around the small sun, Solum, and the large one, Solaria. At the height of midsummer it passes between the two suns, and hops orbit from one to the other. For the length of five normal days, there is no night.
Azurhian civilisations have many explanations and ways of handling this time. In Althea it is called The Burn, or The Lightening. It is a time of great celebration. There is much partying in the streets, drinking of many cold beverages. It is a festival time, a celebration of Solaria and all her bounty.
In the Darklands it is a time viewed with great fear. There are whispers of burning, of no shadows to hide in.
It's all a matter of perspective.
You can assume that you would all know about it to some degree. If you'd like more info on how your specific culture/home may view it, submit a DM form to Jax. But if you're from Althea, it's party time. Think, Mardi Gras levels of wooooo sangria dancing.
It's basically the biggest celebration of the year.
