Iarisweed, also known as Enia's wort, is a flowering weed found in the wilderness all throughout Azure. It blooms around the summer solstice. Due to the yellow blooms and the red substance seeping out when cut, it is also called golden blood.   Iarisweed can grow to anywhere from 15 to 100 centimetres tall and forms a branched cluster of blooms on the top. It is a restant, herbaceous plant. It has small, oblong leaves and bright yellow blooms with five petals that are about 13 millimetres long. It can be found at the edges of forests or shrubbery, embankments, meadows and heathland. It prefers half-shaded areas and dry or moderately moist soil as well as low to medium elevations. While it usually grows in the wild, it is usually not difficult to find.   Iarisweed is mildly poisonous, so it should not be ingested in too high of a dose, but it has several medicinal uses. The sap of this plant has anti-inflammatory properties. The flowers can, when dried and ingested, small amounts can act as a calming agent and as an antidepressant with little to no side effects. As a tea or tincture, they are also used against menstrual cramps. The flowers can also be marinated in plant oil like sunflower oil and then used for external application against joint pain, inflammation and minor burns, like sunburn. This oil can also be used internally against things like rheumatism, gout and back and joint pains. As a spirit, it is also used against inner unrest and trouble falling asleep. As a whole, Iarisweed is helpful against many issues.
