Azteria

Azteria, the prime world of the mortal plain. A world forged at the birth of the universe and tempered in the blood of gods. There are various deities who now watch over Azteria and its inhabitants, however, they are not the only cosmic beings at work in this universe. Other, more malevolent forces seek to impose their will upon this world.   Azteria's mortal inhabitants have spread far and wide over it's surface, over the ages countless kingdoms and empires have risen and fallen, both making history and being lost to it. Over the ages many mortals have taken up the mantle of Adventurer for the purpose of fame, fortune, or other more personal ambitions. Many carve their names into legend and are spoken of years after their time, many more meet their end all to soon and are forgotten just as quickly.   Besides its sentient peoples, Azteria also boasts a rich variety of beasts and monsters dwelling in all manner of ecosystems. The environments are just as diverse as the creatures in them, lands ranging from arid deserts to murky swamps, lush jungles to frigid wastelands, wide open plains to mountains so tall they touch the sky.   While it is a world of danger and mystery, secrets and bloodshed, Azteria is above all else a world of breathtaking beauty and majesty.
