Letter To Lord Satori
Lord Saul Sartori,
I hope this finds you well. As a representative of the Companions of the Sea, I would like to thank you for your assistance in bringing our cargo to the Valė colony. Your government has such a backward idealogy that prevents its citizens from achieving the full profit potential that Ilvortia has to offer. I am glad you see sense in the matter and enjoy gaining wealth beyond your antiquated peers. Attached is your ship's invoice manifest stating the cargo's wholesale value. Please review the document to see if it is up to your standards. Since the invoice is sensitive, we request that you destroy it after your review. For the payment we discuss, please send a retainer to me at Autmanland Hall. My steward or I will have it available for your staff upon arrival. Once again, we are very grateful for your assistance and would like to extend to you another venture. Knowing of your and your doctor’s interests, we would like to offer you a discount on some of the cargo if you’re willing to buy. I cordially invite you to Autumnland Hall to select which product suits you the best, and I will offer you the best prices not seen anywhere in Ilvortia. Thank you again.
As for the other matter, our benefactor is well aware of your desire to amend the laws in the Chacas colony to be more in line with those of other prosperous colonies on the continent. They are also aware that Rodrigo Bermúd has long opposed changing the laws to be more favorable to you. We have sent inquiries to our benefactor, and they agree that a change of leadership in the Chacas colony is warranted. I suspect the governor's position should become available sometime during the masquerade Bermud's will hold in the coming weeks. Because of your consistent and loyal patronage, when the position becomes available, you can expect substantial and full support for your candidacy from the Companion of the Seas.
Best Regards,
-Nonus Gellius, Companions of the Sea Chacas Chapter Magistrate
