Frozen Strait
The Frozen Strait is a narrow, frigid, ice-choked body of water separating northwestern Ayndrinor from the island of Ikitur. Its northern reaches are completely frozen over year-round, except for a brief window each summer that lasts no more than a couple weeks. The southern reaches, where the strait meets the Yaegar Ocean, are much less icy, as the warmer ocean water tends to melt the icy strait water somewhat further northeast of where the two actually meet. Everything in between the two extremes is a gradient of frozen-ness, with some parts seeing thaws for a few months out of the year and others seeing mostly open water with wandering giant bergs during most months.
