Desertwatch Tower

As its name implies, the Desertwatch Tower sits in the middle of the Legobar Desert. The main purpose of this fortress is to watch for raids and armies coming from the western mountain ranges and the area of Legoba, then stopping these groups before they reach the rest of The Dale. These mountain raids happen at least once a year, though most years there are several raids in the winter months - when the mountain climate becomes unbearable and desert slightly more tolerable to cross.
The camp here at Desertwatch houses around 1,500 soldiers in the main tower and a few surrounding barracks. Like other desert buildings - namely in the town of Oasis - the buildings in Desertwatch are dug into the ground to keep them cool. The tower here does extend several stories into the air, to keep an eye on the horizon. It is made of sandstone and adobe, helping it blend in to the desert landscape. From this tower and its surrounding camp, scout groups scour the desert trying to detect raiding groups further afield than the tower is able to spot.
