Fae

"The Fae" is the common name for the Sourceless species that inhabit the area in the west of Mirketh, known as the Fey Wilds.
To group them together under one name in such a way is really quite misinforming, for these creatures are united by very little beyond their participation in the Courts. They have a wide variety of appearances, abilities, and beliefs. They are known by other races to cause mischief and harass innocents. Some people, such as the Elves of Dravenel, see them as more dangerous.
The Fae can be more comprehensively broken down into 5 Courts- the Tide Court, the Ember Court, the Ether Court, the Crystal Court, and the Storm Court. The Courts act as schools of thought by which the Fae organize themselves.
Fae are responsible for creating several altered races, including but not limited to Drow, Satyrs, and Gelflings. Some of these "second generation" Fae still engage with the Courts and are considered Fae by outsiders. "True" Fae may not all agree.
"True" Fae species are distinguished by their origins. They don't receive Source from Cuil; instead, they are allowed a fragment of Heart by The Unborn God. This glimpse into the truth of their world is what grooms and enables their chaotic interactions with the world.
